No Young Frankenstein? Tsk... Office Space would be up there for me. And while it's not a movie, per se, Mystery Science Theater 3000 rocks my world.

Oh, kittycakes, what a wonderful list. I think "Animal House" stands out for me, because I've watched it so many times (it was standard viewing during swot-vac at uni and I still watch it every time it's on TV; I think it's been more than 200 times now) and it still cracks me up. And I love some of the off-beat Australian comedies, of course, like "The Castle" and "Muriel's Wedding". I don't think the rest of the world gets our humour, though. And Peter Sellers in "The Party" - I mean, it's hideously dated and all, but his performance is sublime. And honestly, is there anything more hysterically awful than the "7 Minute Abs" scene in "Something About Mary"? Love, R xxx

I loved "Animal House" too. I worked at a movie theatre when it came out, so I saw it many times and Belushi was great. I liked when they brought the horse in the dean's office. hee hee. And I love the line in "Young Frankenstein"..."No tongues!"

I can't even begin to imagine what my favorite comedy is -- I just love so many of them! "Life of Brian" is up there, as is "Clerks." But really, there are too many to pick just one. A bunch of the ones on that list are already in my collection. And of course, we have to count inadvertently funny movies like "Reefer Madness," don't we?

Give the dvd hooking up a shot Witty. It can't spontaneously combust so you won't break it. The cords from the dvd to the television should be colour coded. If they're not - ask a neighbour to help. Nobody can go with movies for too long! Great list - I'm going through a classics faze at the moment so anything from Otto Preminger or Billy Wilder but my alltime favourite is Manhatten.

Mmm, let's see: Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spaceballs, Caddyshack, Cannonball Run and Goonies (although I don't think that one was labeled a comedy).

Don't hate me but I still crack-up over Raising Arizona every time I see it. Caddyshack is a classic too.

Anything by Mel Brooks should be automatically qualified as a top comedy, from Young Frankenstein, to High Anxiety, History of the World, Spaceballs, Mel Rules!!! Not to mention the origianl National Lampoon's Vacation (before they started getting stupid, and Smokey and the Bandit, but they forgot my all time favorite, The Blues Brothers, which has to be Belushi at his all time best.. And of course anything with Groucho also qualifies by default (Hello room service...send up a larger room).. I'm nothing if not choosey..though I do also have a soft spot for Monty Python..

I am a huge fan of Anger Management. I laugh until I cry every time I watch it!

Heh I just realised the list doesn't include Ferris Buellers Day Off! How can you not love:- "I do have a test today. that wasn't bullshit. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who cares if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists. It still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car."

I like Anchorman more than dodgeball? How did dodgeball even make it? I'm so confused. There was another one on there too I was like waaaa... what about Elf, or Ace Ventura. Were it not for Ace Ventura, we wouldn't have Jim Carrey.
