I recognized Janis immediately, even before I scrolled down far enough to see those famous love beads. The whole entry was fab, btw. I work on a screened porch too! Only I have to work in mine year round. ~LA

If He Who Rakes Garbage From Creek is a city employee, well......kudos to him. He's actually doing something!

I love the pictures! And I thought it was Janis right away. And if I lived where some weirdo was raking the creek near my home, I don't think I'd be able to take my eyes off that wingnut. Crazies are fun (from a distance, of course).

I've never seen the photo of Janis which you took your inspiration from and like LA, I immediately recognized the rock icon. Just my humble opinion but...maybe you're not giving Witty the Painter enough credit.

I love that painting lots, miss witty: possibly even as much as I love the original photograph (which I put up in my diary once - remember?) Keep up the good work in your studio - if you can keep your lustful eyes off Creek Garbage Guy, that is... Love, R xxx

I immediately knew it was janis too. Hey, go buy Hot Shot spider killer. spray your porch with it and I promise, spiders will be gone. It works for 4 months inside, outside less I'm sure, but I sprayed my porch and its been spider free for about a month. I sprayed all around my doors and windows too and noticibly less spiders this year. Guard cat is too pretty to have to chase and eat those nasty things.

Not sure what the flower is, but it's gorgeous -- a fine example of my mother's "flowers" creation theory.

I think the flower is a Trillium (?)

1000 days of Witty! It's like a biblical epic but with GuardKats, painting and stalker lesbians. The depth perception in the pond photo made me think you were standing on the edge of a tall cliff. Don't fall Witty - the world needs your lovely feet!

Are you SURE The Man Who Rakes Garbage in the Creek(tm)is doing feng shui with rocks and NOT dismembered corpses? That splash you heard could've been a femur. Are any of your neighbors missing?

Happy 1000 Days of Witty! I, too, immediately knew it was Janis before I scrolled down and was amazed you didn't think it looked like her. And the world can never have too many pictures of feet.

that painting of janis looks like me, circa 1995. I saw the best anti bush sticker the other day. It said, "when clinton lied no one died". congrats on a thou.
