Ack! I feel for you. I just dropped $1500 on my car recently and the majority of that was just labor fees. Avoid the dealership. Date a mechanic. Or just sleep with one, whatever works.

Well phooey. I am so sorry, sweetie. I wish even one of the dozen hunks of junk Mike has stashed out back was worth coming downstate for. I'd give it to you with a smile and thanks. But unloading another broken vehicle on you isn't exactly helpful. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. ~LA

((hugs)) Don'ta just hate cars sometimes. You're damned without them, but with our budget we always end up with crappy pieces of junk that like to fly apart at the worst possible moment. I remember once, when I had first moved to Fargo I was on my way back home from somewhere, I came up to a stop sign, put my foot down on the break to stop and poof nothing. I sailed right thru the sign like I'd never tried to stop. talk about panic city. Lucily there was still enough braking power to slow down enough that I could park it in front of my building before I freak out. I had a similiar incident with the van I had a couple years ago. I hope you are able to get things taken care of, with out going into the poor house. Good luck. (Boy and I glad I live in a state that doesn't have inspection stickers and all the jazz).

was the manhole cover lifted up or something? my mother ran over a water cover that had lifted up from rain and it did the same thing to her car. the town paid to have her car fixed.

Oy! My car is in the shop today for a much needed tune-up and hopefully they can fix my broken seatbelt. It sucks losing a seat that could be holding a child I could be making money babysitting from. I have no idea what it'll cost but the car needs it. Now I just need to find a ride to the shop this afternoon; I may actually have to ride my bike. Pray it doesn't rain.

Gah! What a craptastic day. I really hate cars and the pain they put you through. Screw Manny, Moe and Jack!

Oh, as a former Tempo from the Inner Circles of Hell keeper of the checkbook, I feel your pain. And the pain of paying more than it's worth to keep the fucker on the road. Pep Boys will eventually meet their doom. I remember having to call my Dad on a couple of occasions to rescue me when the Tempo took a shit. On the interstate. In Nowheresville, Butt-Fucked Alabama. I hope things turn your way soon.

OH Maaaaaaaaaaaan... Damn car! That whole outta control on the road thing woulda scared me to death! I think I would have panicked and hit something for sure... Good job not getting into a major accident! I wish cars weren't so expensive to fix. I hope this is the last of your car problems for a long time.

I'm finished with Pep Boys ever since the "new" battery they installed died eleven months later. I always knew they were rats; that was my confirmation.
