Oh, man. I would have gone out there and pitchforked his ass...

Oh, witty - I'm so very sorry. I understand your reaction completely; I blubber like a baby whenever someone even prunes a rose bush to make it blossom better. However, I also live on a vast timbered property in the wilderness where I can see through historical photographic records over the years that areas of forest that were chopped down and mechanically cleared by previous dwellers here have regrown, and even substantially thickened, and that trees and other vegetation have sprung up in other areas to sustain life and provide habitat where it never was a few years ago. I guess it's not much consolation to you right now to remember that Gaia really does have most things in hand, and that there's a fair chance your precious bushes and shrubs will regrow - possibly even stronger and taller - over time. In the meanwhile, try to remind yourself that there's a very special place in hell for dickheads who disrespect nature and treat it with such contempt: including your cretinous landlord. Love, R xxx

I understand completely. Both Smed and Hiss make excellent points. It's a very difficult situation.

There's probably not much you can do if the landlord doesn't can or agrees with the creek freek - unless you get the other tenants to also complain to the landlord. It sucks.

Thats a shame, I'm sorry. Maybe you can get the art class to go with you and paint a mural on the back of the ugly ass building.

I completely understand your reaction. I am a big nature lover too, and I would have flipped out and did a little "snip snip" on the Creek Freak. That would give him something entirely different to rake up. :)
