Oh sweet jeebus! Glad to hear it wasn't anything life threatening (even if it felt that way). What a way to spend your new years...here's hoping the rest of the year is uneventful.

Ugh, that getting stuck in the veins every three hours thing SUCKS ASS. I'm so glad you're out of the hospital and you're ok...you had ME scared there, Missy. Stay away from those musicals until you're feeling better. ;)

I knew that movie was trouble. I drove myself to an ER once. It wasn't anything like chest pains; I had to get myself there for Abject Stupidity. It was 1:30 a.m., & I had a broken nose. I didn't get out until 9 a.m., after having spent most of the past three hours sitting on a gurney in a hallway, right next to a girl who had overdosed on fuck knows what, and was not planning on cooperating with either the hospital staff, or the police who had to come take a statement from her. All in all, it was pretty fucking entertaining. I the end though, yes, I had in fact broken my nose again, and none to pleased. The last time I was in an ER, it was with a friend who suffered terrible migraines. I didn't figured out until well after the whole ordeal that the migraines weren't so much the issue as the fact that she's addicted to Dilaudid. And even at all of this, I still find airports far sadder places than hospitals. All of this prattling, however, is just my very nervous way of getting across that I hope you're alright, and I really want you to take care of yourself.

Ugh ... what a shitty, shitty way to have to kick off the year. I hate friggin' hospitals. You deserve to be waited upon hand and foot by totally hot lackeys while a gentle rain of money falls around you. Hugs.

Terrible way to start the new year. Ugh! I HATE hospitals (I won't get started on how much I hate hospitals). Ugh. Hugs to you, and I hope that this 'muscle strain' goes away.

So THAT was where the "Beach Patrol:San Diego" was coming from! I could hear it, but I looked all over the house and couldnt see it. Sheesh! Silly me. Feel better soon dear - Maybe you had that "intercostal muscle spasm" thing, I cant being to tell you how much that hurts and its pretty much harmless which always makes me feel a bit cheated when it starts up! s x

Hope it is nothing, sorry for all you had to go thru. But I think you should go and get a second opinion from another, non er doctor, just to be safe. Take care of yourself, we want to keep you around for as long as possible

Jeeze, that bites. I guess it's good they didn't find anything bad, but it's awful when they can't find anything at all and you're stuck with this horrible scary pain and now embarrassed to go back and demand more help. At least that's how it is with me. I was actually grateful to have Bell's palsy last time I went to the ER. When half your face is hanging off your skull and completely unresponsive they can't just say, "You're making it up and being a flake, go home." Rest, mend, and know we all care. Mwah! ~LA

Oh man...the fact you steered yourself to the ER is brave. Because that's suck on a stick, even if they just see you 4 hours later, tell you it's nothing, and release you. But having to stay there for days and finding out it's "muscle strain"? WTF is RIGHT! The only time I've ever thought of driving myself to ER is when I was bitten in the chest (inner side of my left boob) by a horse 3 years ago. I nearly collapsed on the floor out of breath, no one was around, and it felt like he'd taken a chunk of flesh out of me. I was amazed, as I drove home in shock and pain, that I wasn't bleeding (I checked myself at a stoplight). But the experience scared the SHIT outta me. When I realized he hadn't broken the flesh, I drove home and decided to see how it went. I had a massive bruise and a lump for months (and had the OB/Gyn check it just in case) and he wasn't concerned in the least. Thanks, fucker. And I've had heart monitor work done in the past and the exposed chest thing for hours is EXTREMELY disconcerting. I felt so...well...exposed and bad/wrong/icky. *Geeeehhhhhh* Props to you for what you went through. Here's to a MUCH BETTER rest of the year!!
