I'm a dork too. We're all dorks. Welcome to the club.

That beret is amazing. I'd talk to myself too if I owned one!

A few years ago, we decided that only people who were high school dorks were worth talking to as adults. Why? Because they didn't peak in high school. More interesting, don't you know. =)

I wore a beret for years and I am a world-class dork. I think everyone here on Diaryland at least carries a recessive gene for dorkiness.

Aren't we all dorks on the inside, when you get down to it? You made me snort out loud, thank God I wasn't drinking, when you said that Guardcat thinks he (she) lives with two people.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a dork! You have to embrace the dorkiness and run with it, my dear. :)

I talk to myself all the time. Never worn a dress backwards to an interview, but I have gone to work on a meeting-filled day wearing two different shoes (after which, I gave up on having navy blue work shoes and stuck with basic black, because I'm obviously somewhat colorblind). Dorkiness is an art.

Don't you know everyone has an inner dork? It's just self doubt trying to take over. Keep hold of your beret, real or imagined, and you'll squash that dork when you need to.

Talking to yourself is indeed a sign of higher than average intelligence. We have so much intelligence, in fact, that is just spills out as speech. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

When I'm at a stoplight, I no longer stop myself from talking to myself because with the advent of hands-free cell phones, I see people that look like they're talking to themselves all the time. I just pretend I'm one of them.....not that anyone is really paying attention to what I'm doing. I just think they are.

Loquacious dorks of the world unite. I'll bring my sandals.

I think everyone could use a touch of the Grey Gardens. More power to you, sister. XO Violet

I think being a dork requires at least one pair of very worn sandals... dork, nerd, geek, we are all one and the same... most of the time :) Actually, some of my best ideas have come from talking to myself... shows a mark of utter refinement and class that no one else knows about.
