Hee! I love Cabaret! My dad made me sit down and watch the "Money, Money" scene when I was about 9 or 10 and I thought it was sooooo cool. I didn't see the whole movie till a few years later though. Then I wound up "borrowing" his Cabaret cassette (which I still have) and listening to that a million times. Of course, the theme song is fantastic, but I also really love "Maybe This Time" and "Mein Heir." And "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" is a favorite as well, although I hate the context of the song in the film!
I'm so jealous you got to meet Joel Grey! (And that you saw Liza perform!) Very awesome, chicko. Now I need to dig out my soundtrack or DVD! :)

My darling mother gave me a DVD of "Cabaret" a couple of years ago - she knows how much I love it, too. (I'm not sure she understands the film, though...) And Desi Arnaz Jnr - oink! Oh, I remember when I wrote in my diary about how much I loved him, and then my little thithter Thindy gave it away to the junk collector, and then - oh joyous miracle! - Desi brought it back to me and we did wild passionate Cuban monkey-sex on the table in the avocado green and harvest gold kitchen, while Alice tried to make meatloaf around us. I should have taken more glamour shots when i was younger. I got nothing but some photo booth photos from the late ninties.
come to think of it, i probably would have lost them all.
