The sky and stars of your piece really came out beautiful. I know how hard batik can be, my first try, none of my images came out and it became an abstract, hah. Nothing is worse than studying art with someone you don't get on with. I have this one professor that tells me, often, that my work is too "decorative" to be taken as serious art. Basically, he wants me to go the ugly/shock route. stupid. In the same breath, he teaches that you have to do art for art's sake, just create what you like and ignore the critics. ok.

Am I bad for thinking the whole coughing thing is very funny?

Pfft...my boyfriend has divirticulitis. other peoples colds and things? Their "infections?" have really nothing to do with it. So...she's full of it.

Your effort looks pretty damn good for a first-timer! I don't know the first thing about batik! But I guess that's why I knit instead. Hey, tell your teacher that you have sarcoidosis (which isn't contagious) and see what she does (I hope it's as entertaining as giving grapefruit juice to an infant).

Sounds like they need to download iBrain. I do wish it was legal to run them over, though.

I can only dream of a day when it's not illegal to prevent a stupid person from living and breeding and bringing us all down. *sigh* I've done my part, I've not bred. Your watercolor jerk sounds amusing; maybe you should view her as live theater--perhaps as one of the cast of "Seinfeld"? Your batik turned out well, I am put in mind of a starry night in Morocco. Ciao~ !G

Lovely batik, Miss! And... just wondering, how would you know if your illness is viral or not? Your teacher sounds hilarious, from a distance. XOXO Violet

Thats lovely? How big is it? Can it be framed or made into a cushion or some other way to 'use' it? I always think stuff painted on fabric needs to be sewed into something. Take no notice, Im rambling! s x PS Ooh, did you check out Hazel's site?

I love batik! When I worked in daycare, that was one of my favorite projects to do with the kids. Lovely!

Damn. You are TALENTED. (BTW, in Utah, we call iField 'MoroniField' - all these young devot people step into the street without looking EITHER way - certain that they will be protected. Uh. yeah. Whateverrrr...)
