Oh, post more Adirondack foliage pictures, pleeeease! So pretty.

And I'm glad your car's getting fixed. I totally hate public transportation ... yech. I took evil city buses for so long; I never want to get on one again!

Yay for the car! As for the train, my grandfather worked for the Chesapeake/Ohio train company, and we always wave at the trains, even the cargo ones. Just being friendly, hee. And I love travelling by train. I took an 8 hour trip to DC; I'd do that again. Very nice.

I miss the Adirondacks so much. My great-grandfather was the town doctor for a place between Blue Mountain Lake and Lake George--we still have the cabin. It's the center of our family's universe, and it always feels like coming home. Moose or no moose. *giggle* ***Clawfoot or no clawfoot, if I can almost touch the "apartment" from wall to wall with my arms outstretched, it's too small. Am considering looking for a 1 bedroom for that public/private space thing. Having my bed right in the living room is just too much pressure, eh? And it'd figure, the day someone comes over for a visit is the day I forget to put my Urdu verb declensionzer away. *grin*

Everytime I think about riding a train, I wonder if my wife will conspire with an insurance salesman to kill me and dump me off the back of a train in order to claim a double indemnity policy. Nice pensive photo!

Meany just likes the idea that not everything is sand and suck. They were very pretty pics, and frankly the moose junk could be worse. It could be a hand carved beaver.
