I had to do a heart test that was the opposite of what you did. They injected me with some drug that made my heart beat incredibly fast (and also caused intense stomach pain). It was scary to be beating normally, then have it beating like I'm running a hundred miles an hour, then they gave me another shot and it stopped. Medicine is some scary shit, man.

Not that asking will do a damn bit of good, so I really know better than to ask... but why the hell didn't you let someone KNOW you had that chest pain? And I'm turning 49 soon too - a useless bit of info, but at least it wasn't another rhetorical question :p

It's not so much that you need a MAN, just a roommate, close friend, or pet with opposable thumbs (neither the poodles nor the cats can dial the phone...)... Hope that all is well. (And really. When taking weird drugs like that, have a friend call you to check on you. I have very recently been reminded the importance of the buddy system - it can be a lifesaver. Honestly.)
